Taking the lead in the CONCEPTUAL PHOTOGRAPHY movement
It never occurred to me that I would be the owner of my own gallery, ever. It was by pure divine intervention that I discovered an empty 3300 sq. ft. space on the second floor of the Esplanade on Worth Ave. in the summer of 2017. It did not occur to me that this all white, sprawling space could be mine until I called the number on the door.
Six months later I had the keys! Now all I needed was the art! By November 1st, 2017, sixteen incredible pieces of art were hand delivered. Each piece was brand new, each piece was a 66"x96" in glossy wood frames. WOW was the WORD from everyone who stepped into the KASHA McKee POP-UP Gallery.
The deal to acquire the space was temporary because it would be the second season this space would be vacant. Hence the POP-UP Gallery.
During the KASHA McKee POP-UP Gallery (November 2017-March 2018), the space came to life with vibrant art, music, events, and wonderful conversations about my work. This was the big debut for the Conceptual Photography movement in Palm Beach Fl. My audience was confused at first because they expected to see paintings. When they realized this was photography, the look of pleasant surprise and contemplation locked in. The dialogues explaining my creative process were magical. This is what art does and why I pursue it. KASHA
